PART SEVEN
summary
A. Conclusion
Texas has put to death 35% of all people executed in the entire United States. Most of those executed in Texas had cases out of Harris County. These statistics are truly appalling and very disturbing. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) spokesman recently said, “We’re seeing people come through at a quicker pace,” and he added “The typical inmate exhausts his appeals in five to six years ” (on December 4, 2007 Rob will have been locked up for 7 years).
Robert desperately needs to build a support base very quickly and find a good Federal Write attorney soon. He has already been locked up for almost six years, and every day counts. Also, it should be noted that the most important issues cannot be included in this paper because it is being posted on the World Wide Web.
Robert is a wonderful and kind person who has been the victim of an extremely unfair and deplorable system. He is a brother, son, and father. He has a beautiful son and stepson that both miss him very much. Rob has been locked behind bars all of this time for a crime he did not commit. As you’ve seen, his case exemplified the corrupt nature of the Harris County Police Department and the flawed judicial system. Please re-read everything written about Robert’s case and investigate the facts. You will come to the same conclusion presented here, and that conclusion is that an innocent man is currently sentenced to die for a crime he did not commit.
Though he is living in horribly oppressive conditions, Robert is maintaining a positive attitude and fights every day against his unjust incarceration. Please join this struggle and help Rob in any way you can. He is innocent and he deserves to be free. We have to stand together in solidarity in order for Robert to gain his freedom.
Get involved soon, because every day counts!
