Love Is...

Waking up to Erykah Badu’s “A Lovely Thing”. The KTSU station is coming in and this is rare. I absolutely love Erykah—her music is filled with so much soul, Earth rhythms, musical passion and just pure beauty. Ah, now the Soul—R&B classic “Love & Happiness” by Al Green is on…

“The Power of Love”,,,

People often are struck by the fact that I experience, that I feel, and am filled with so much love and happiness in this wretched environment. There are many reasons for this, but one of the main reasons is because of the power of the support I have on the outside—an awesome power. “Love is talking together/walking together.”Every message of support I receive inspires me, each message is like a little conversation of inspiration, a burst of positive Energy, a small act of Love. And those who take action in our fight walk with me, with us, hand-in-hand in our fight against injustice, our fight for Truth and Righteousness. Al is done singing: Meditation time…

Ah, quite nice! I just experienced Siddhasana (master pose) while doingpranayama (breathing) a bit of Kirtan (chanting) and I had my hands in the Anjali mudra (which is the same thing as the common Christian prayer hand configuration)—my hands over my Heart…the Heart: the seat of Love. And a poem comes to mind:

If you covet money more than anything

you’ll be bought and sold.

If you have a greed for food,

you’ll be a loaf of bread.

This is a subtle truth: Whatever you love, you are.

I deeply appreciate everyone who has participated in the birthday event (and those who will participate). I’ve already received some very nice cards and been informed that some people have made donations. Funds are absolutely vital and donations are so greatly appreciated. Because of the way our society functions, how a person deals with and feels about money says much about them. When a person donates to a righteous cause it shows that they are willing to take an active stand against injustice. I always think about how Damien Echols often remarks that it took over $100,000 just to get the DNA testing done in his case and much more to lead to his and his co-defendant’s release. Fundraising is a vital part of the struggle that will lead to my release and exoneration. Understand: everyone who makes a donation to my legal defense fund is very literally helping to save my Life. It’s always very moving for me to think of this and with that in mind I’ll sign off with very warm vibes of:

Love, Strength & Solidarity
